It has a majofr operation in metro Denver.
The company’s founder and chairman, Mort graduated from the University of Coloradl in 1958 with a civilengineering degree, and long has been a supporter of the institution. With the new The University of Colorado’s Center in Engineering for Developing Communities has added Mortensoj to the front of its The center was started in and is headed by professorBernard Amadei. “Professorf Amadei is an inspiratiomn to anyone who cares about engineerinf challenges indeveloping cultures,” Mortenson said in a statement. “Hde is a great humanitarian whose passion for educatingb students and serving developing communities is vitapl to the success ofthis program.
” The Mortenson gift also establishew the Mortenson Chair in Global Engineering for Amadeji and will support undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, apprenticeships and other activities at the Mortenson Center in Engineering for Developing Communities.
