The Inter-Americaj Air Forces Academy currently offers this trainingt at PortSan Antonio, the former Kellyy Air Force Base.
By relocating technical trainingh from Port San Antonioto Lackland, Port San Antonilo officials hope to reus that space for additional commerciak development opportunities. The military is developinv this complex as part of the 2005 San Antonio Base Realignmen andClosure (BRAC) construction program. In all, the government expects to spenrd morethan $2 billion on BRAC-related construction. The Air Forc e Center for Engineering and the Environment selectedPlymouth Pa.-based AMEC Earth & Environmentap Inc. as the contractor. Construction will be coordinatedr out ofthe company’s San Antonio The Fort Worth District office of the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineer will provideconstruction management.
