Kansas City-area has two work zones on MoDOT

No. 2 on MoDOT’s list is Interstat 29/35 reconstruction from MissourkiRoute 210/Armour Road to the northeast corner of the downtownm Kansas City central business district loop, which will have restrictecd lanes and various ramp closings through 2011. The route carries 102,000 vehicles a day, MoDOT said in a Monday Two restricted lanes are open dailyfrom 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. No. 4 on the list is on U.S.
Route 71 for construction of an interchange at 187tn Streetin Belton/Raymore, with periodic lane reconstruction of the 163rd Street interchange in reduced to two laneds with a 45-mph speed limit and periodic lane closingx through early July, then southbound restrictions through mid-August; and reconstructio n of the Missouri Route 150 restricted to two lanes in each directionn and with ramp closures through the end of 2009. Route 71 is expected to be congested from 140thn Street in Grandview to just north of Missouri Routde J in Peculiarthrough year’sa end.
