UNCC honors Rodgers Builders CEO - Kansas City Business Journal:

The Charlotte-based company has workecd on severaluniversity projects, including the Barnhardy Student Activity Center, Irwin Belk Track and Field Center, Lynch Residence Hall and the Bioinformatics Research Center. Rodgers Builders also is the construction manager onthe university’s new, $50.r4 million Center City Building projecgt that is slated to open in the fall of 2011. A groundbreakiny ceremony was held in April for the classroom building at the corner of Ninth and Brevar streets inuptown Charlotte.
“What sets Pat aparrt from most isher commitment; she remains personallyu invested in the institutions and organizations she touches long after her formall involvement has ended,” says Philip Dubois, UNC Charlotted chancellor. “Her commitment to the betterment of our community extendzs to herbusiness philosophy. In fact, Rodgers Builders has been hailed time and again as the epitomeof civic-minded business.” Rodgers is also chaifr of the Charlotte Symphony board and will assume the chairmanship of the Charlotte Chamber board in 2011. The universith established the Distinguished Service Awarxdin 1987.
It honors individuals who have providecd outstanding leadership and service to the Charlotte community and to the advancement ofUNC Charlotte. Rodgers was honoreed Tuesday during a luncheohn atthe school. UNC Charlott e is the fourth-largest campus amongv the 17 institutions of theUNC system. It is the largest institutio n of higher education in theCharlott region, offering doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s programs.
